Mr. Bennet Tanyag with Team STU.A.R.T (Student’s app for Regulating Time)

PBL Expo 2018 was an exhibit held on June 1 2018, in iACADEMY Nexus, wherein Grade 11 Software Development students showcased the top PBL projects this semester. Using C# programming language, these students were challenged to make chatbots that perform unique and useful services apart from mere customer service. Moreover, the Chairperson of Software Engineering and Web Development, Mr. Bennett Tanyag, was one of the panelists to critique the works of those Senior High students.

Amera Ibrahim – Coding Girls Lead’s of iACADEMY

Through the exhibit, I (Amera Ibrahim), one of the Coding Girls Leads of iACADEMY, gave an inspirational talk about the community and how girls could make a difference with the help of code. I further talked about what is it like to be a part of Coding Girls, as well as potential things the members could give and present to the community, all while stressing on empowering girls to become tech innovators, leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Altogether, it was a great opportunity to witness the works of the Grade 11 Software Development students and to get acquainted with them.
