Last March 10, 2018, Coding Girls iACADEMY had launched their first official meet up. In partnership with the school’s official Software Engineering and Web Development organization, SEAL, along with the Game Development organization, IGDA, they had conducted back-to-back workshops starting from 8 in the morning to 7 in the evening. This event was spearheaded by Ms. Amera Ibrahim and Ms. Gem Dublan.

The first workshop was conducted with iGDA’s member-officer Mr. Basil Hidalgo Benitez and Mr. Mark Adrianne Inocentes. The workshop concludes basics of Ren’Py and its flexibility as a game engine. On the other hand, the second workshop was conducted by Mr. Jason Bruno, an instructor from Vivixx Academy. In addition Ms. Liz Holleza and Ms. Raqs Marasigan had also discussed on the advantages and benefits of the Amazon Web Service (AWS).

Moreover, Coding Girls iACADEMY was introduced by Amera Ibrahim on how members of Coding Girls will able to achieve goals that are planned this 2018 and in what way could these girls contribute to the community wherein they could empower girls and to able to close the gender gap in the tech industry.

Lastly, Coding Girls iACADEMY is proud to present a new beginning to all Coding Girls out there and we are ready to create a more diverse tech for both women and men.
